About Arthur's Point
Arthur’s Point Farm is a state-licensed plant nursery in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley. We specialize in native trees, shrubs, and perennials for ecological restoration, holistic landscapes, and climate-resilient agroforestry systems.
We seek to create a more abundant world for future generations. We work to reverse the long-term depletion and inequitable use of natural resources. We plant trees, heal the land, and enhance habitat for wildlife. This makes the land more productive and resilient to a changing climate. It also makes for a nicer place to live, raise our children, and foster community.

Native perennials are exploding all over the farm during these hot summer days. Beauty, sustenance, diversity, and a generous bounty for all. Standing in quiet protest to the mean and angry zeitgeist that pervades our world. As Audrey Hepburn once said, “to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.”
Mid-summer orchard updates!
(1,2) Burr development over the course of a month on one of our older chestnut trees. Most of our chestnuts are not yet at bearing age, but several are beginning to fruit in our most mature planting.
(3) One of our chestnut seedlings planted at about a foot tall this spring is now nearly all the way up the 6` tree tube! This particular tree was a seedling of Gideon from a cohort grown out in our bare-root nursery.
(4) Some of our air-prune beds filled to the brim with chestnut seedlings, which will be harvested this fall for our nursery.
(5,6) A corner of one of our orchard plantings which we have dubbed the "Wildflower Triangle". It includes a variety of mother plants which we harvest plant propagation material from for our nursery, but it also serves as a diverse planting that attracts pollinators to the orchard. Here are the bees taking advantage of what`s currently in bloom!

I recently purchased an assortment of bare root trees/shrubs from Arthur's Point. The ordering process was a breeze. Communications and digital confirmations were all perfectly clear. Pick up was a breeze as well - the trees were all carefully packed up for transport and nothing could have been easier. On top of that, they all looked healthy and the quality was exceptional for a very reasonable cost. I'm familiar with Arthur's Point practices and I'm not all surprised to receive a great product. Even just driving down there driveway shows dozens of specimens all carefully protected and cared for. I would be very happy to source many more plants here in the future! Highly recommended.
Arthur's Point Farm is our go-to nursery. We can't always buy from them, but we make every effort to do so. They have done the research and the hard work of curating an offering of native species that is not only respectful of the need for biodiversity and the needs of the local habitat, but also, on a practical level, will survive and thrive in our climate conditions. And, you can trust them always to give you honest and expert advice.
Finding native trees and plants at Arthur's Point is like shopping at the Garden of Eden. This nursery and tree farm, especially for nut trees, is resource like no other in the north east.

I bought from Arthur's Point Farm because they offered the best selection of Chestnut genetics for a good price. I purchased 100 chestnut seedlings 3 years ago (4 different varieties). Some have preformed better that others but I only lost 4 trees the first spring and the rest are still growing great!

Arthur's Point Farm is a very special and unique resource for native plants in Columbia County. I've sourced plants from them for both my home garden and for a larger educational project in a public park and have been so impressed by the high quality of their plant material and their incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff.
We have had the pleasure of touring the farm and also buying plants and saplings form Arthur's Point Farm that are thriving. We have learned so much about how to restore our forest and land and make it more hospitable to native pollinators, birds and other wildlife. Highly recommend following their social media and visiting their website to see what is available. It is also a beautiful ride to the farm and easy to pick up your order.
I purchased a number of pollinator friendly plants from Arthur's Point, in particular some butterfly milkweed plants. Due to some unforeseen issues, planting and care was delayed for longer than I care to admit. Fortunately for me, the plants were so healthy and well established, they forgave my neglect and once planted and loved on, they thrived and have continued to do so.
I am also grateful for the guidance, support and knowledge the Arthur's Point people share with the community. Lucky to have them in our orbit!!!

We've been working with this fantastic native plant farm for a few years now, and it's always a great experience. They're super friendly and easy to work with, and their plants and trees are top-notch. We especially love that they use fabric root-prune pouches instead of traditional plastic pots—it's a thoughtful and sustainable touch that really sets them apart. Highly recommend!
We have gotten bare-root trees from Arthur's Point Farm over the past few years. The trees are of extremely high quality; the price is excellent; and we love that the trees are not potted in plastic containers. Before finding out about Arthur's Point Farm, we planted some trees that we got elsewhere and the difference in the health of the Arthur's Point Farm trees is noticeable. The trees from Arthur's Point Farm are so healthy and we are glad to support their important work of making native, climate-resilient trees and shrubs available in the Hudson Valley.
