Not every tree meets our high nursery grade standard, which is intended for orchard or specimen planting. Conservation grade trees and shrubs are healthy, but have minor defects, greater size variability, and a slightly lower chance of survival than nursery grade trees. We plant these trees on the farm with great success, as minor defects or size variability typically makes no difference if they are established well and tended to in the first few years after planting. The trade-off is cost – we sell conservation grade trees for 50% off of our nursery grade stock.
Conservation trees are sold in bundles of 5. Use the drop-down menu to the right to select the species bundles you want.
