We specialize in growing native and locally-adapted cultivars of nuts, fruits, and other ecologically-important trees, shrubs, and perennial wildflowers. We focus on edible and medicinal species, those that support biodiversity, and plants with the greatest potential to adapt to fluctuations in temperature, precipitation, and seasonality in the years to come. Â

Consultation
We offer consulting services in agroforestry design and planning, ecological restoration, and holistic landscape design. If you would like to incorporate some of what we’re working on into your life and landscape and you need assistance, we can advise on holistic farm planning, orchard design and implementation, organic fruit and nut tree management, pollinator habitat establishment, riparian and forest restoration, organic compost production, and climate-friendly farming practices.Â

Biochar
Biochar is a powerful soil amendment made from pyrolyzed biomass. It improves soil water-holding capacity and provides a habitat for beneficial microbes that allow plants to access nutrients in the soil. It’s also a natural climate solution that stores atmospheric carbon in the ground for thousands of years. We produce biochar on the farm to enhance the productivity, health, and resilience of our orchards and nursery beds, and to transition agriculture and forestry into a net carbon sink in the years to come. Â
Through applied research and development, we have developed a proprietary Probiotic Biochar Soil Amendment, composed of 50% pure biochar and a 50% microbial soil inoculant designed to sustain long-term plant and soil health.Â
