Amelanchier canadensis ‘Prince William’
A plant of many names, serviceberry is also known as Saskatoon, Shadblow Serviceberry, Shadbush, and Juneberry. It is a native understory shrub whose early spring flowers give way to juicy, purple fruits in the summer that can be eaten raw or cooked into jams and baked goods. Planting a serviceberry is sure to offer delights to humans and wildlife alike.
Prince William was selected from a group of seedlings and tends to more of a shrub form than tree. It’s noted for its abundant large berries and proliferation of spring blooms.

Habitat: Typically found in moist woodlands and swamps, but will tolerate drought.
Growth: 8-12 ft tall, 6-8 ft wide at maturity.
