Laying a tarp down under the tree can be the most effective way of harvesting ripe fruits, which are also an important food source for spring migrating birds and small mammals. Red Mulberry is the larval host to the Mourning Cloak butterfly.Â

Habitat: Best grown in moist soils. Moderately drought tolerant. Full sun to part shade.Â
