Coreopsis lanceolata
This bright and cheery native perennial features large yellow flowers and unique, slender leaves. Blooming from May to June, it makes an excellent cut flower. Very drought tolerant, it’s an ideal choice for drier areas. It will self seed and can form dense colonies, creating a swath of cheery flowers. It also attracts many species of native butterflies.

Habitat: Average, well-drained soil. Will also thrive in dry environments and in poor soil. Full sun.
Growth: 2 ft wide, 2 ft tall at maturity.
