Lobelia siphiliticaÂ
Great Blue Lobelia is a delightful addition to a moist section of your garden, though it can tolerate drier soil. Its dark blue, tubular flowers bloom in tall stalks in the late summer, and are attractive to many pollinators, including hummingbirds and butterflies. It self-seeds readily and pairs nicely with its red relative Cardinal Flower, which grows in similar conditions and blooms around the same time. Great Blue Lobelia is considered endangered in Massachusetts.Â
