Buttonbush’s fragrant white ball-shaped flowers bloom in the summer, providing nectar to many pollinators including butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. In fall the seeds are a food source for over 20 species of birds. Buttonbush is often used as shelter for Wood Ducks to protect their brood, and is a frequent site for bird nests.
